Alright. So here is my review of Dukes dry apple cider: YUM! Okay, so I should probably say a bit more, right? When I cracked open the can, I made sure to have my nose close so I could see if there was a hint of apple. Sure enough, there was! Pleasant…and actually more than a hint.
I first tried it without ice, to experience the true flavor of the beverage. Again, fairly appley (if that’s a word-my computer says it’s not!). What I really liked is that even though it’s a dry cider, it didn’t have that super dry kick to it. Also, there was no lingering after taste like some other brands tend to have. Aside from that, Dukes is light and refreshing, yet 5.0%. One point against it (for me, perhaps not for others) was the fizz. It was almost a champagne-like fizz, rather than a pop-like fizz. I prefer bigger bubbles, maybe?
After trying it as is, I then added some ice to my drink. Upon adding ice, some of the fizziness dissipated, and I liked it even more. And, because I like lemon or lime in my other ciders, I thought I should try that in my Dukes as well. Thumbs up! All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed Dukes dry apple cider and would happily purchase it as my beverage of choice!
